FEBRUARY MEETING

 

 Tuesday February 7th, 7:00pm at the CPPA Hall 1303 W. 58^th.

Our guest speaker will be Michael Czack, Attorney at Law with the Law Firm Caranova and Czack.  Mr. Czack will be talking about legal issues that affect Law Enforcement Officers in personal injury and auto accident investigations.  He will also address worker’s comp, wrongful death and medical malpractice concerns.

 ST. PATRICK’S DAY

 On Saturday March 17 the GCPES and CPPA will be hosting a breakfast at the CPPA Hall from 8am to noon.  Breakfast will include eggs, pancakes, breakfast meat, milk, juice and coffee.  Cost will be $5.00 per person.  More details to follow on the web site.

The GCPES is also extending an invitation to all Law Enforcement Officers in the Greater Cleveland area and beyond to march in uniform with us during the parade.  Last year we had Officers from New York, Illinois, and California.  Please invite your family and friends.  

Please, no baubles, bangles, beads or painted faces for adults.  For those not in uniforms, the dress of the day will be tan pants, black shoes, and a green or blue shirt.  Coats as necessary depending on weather conditions.  Emerald Society sashes will be provided to everyone.
 

Please purchase a 2012 parade pin and/or Guarantor sash to support the Parade.

GUNS AND HOSES

 The 14^th annual “fun”draiser for the Pipes and Drums of the Cleveland Police and the Cleveland Firefighters Memorial Pipes and Drums will be Saturday February 25 at the Galleria downtown at 9^th and St. Clair.  Cost is $10.00 per ticket and underground heated parking is $3.00. 

Punch the Clown will be the band and the Columbus Police and Fire Pipes and Drums will be playing an additional set of pipe band music.

Special room rate of $99.00 at the Double Tree at 1111 Lakeside for guns and Hoses guests.  Call: 216/241-5100.  Please try to attend and support our many members who are in the band.

FUNDRAISERS

If you have an idea for a fund raiser please let President Hartnett know.  We have a very good relationship with the CPPA and are currently looking at some co-sponsored events such as a Night at the Races.
